San Diego Area Divorce Services
The Law Offices of Rausa and Mason guide you through each step in the divorce proceedings. You begin your divorce by paying the filing fee and completing the initial paperwork with The Law Offices of Rausa and Mason. The other party in the divorce will be served, and then a typical divorce will proceed through five more steps. In addition, each party to a divorce is subject to standard family law restraining orders.
Our team will be by your side to make sure you understand these steps and move through them as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Southern California Custody and Support Cases
The Law Offices of Rausa and Mason can help you prepare for your initial request for custody/visitation. You are required to attend mediation with your ex-spouse and Family Court Services, and no attorneys can be present.
Our attorneys can help you prepare for the mediation to make sure you can communicate your preferences for the visitation plan. If you do not come to an agreement with your ex-spouse, the mediator will make a recommendation to the Court. The Law Offices of Rausa and Mason can help you after the visitation plan is proposed.
Spousal and Child Support Determinations
The Law Offices of Rausa and Mason will analyze your financial situation to create an estimate of initial, temporary child and spousal support. Our system is comparable to the program used by the San Diego County Courts, so we can help prepare you for what you may be paying or receiving before you get to court.
Step-Parent Adoption
Step-parent adoptions are filed in the Juvenile court and can take up to one year from the date of filing to complete. The process consists of an investigation and interview by Social Services prior to the finalization of the adoption. Attorney Josh Mason and The Law Offices of Rausa and Mason can help you with completing and filing the paperwork in anticipation of the interview date, which will be set by Social Services.
