Attorney D.J. Rausa
With more than 15 years of experience as a consumer attorney, D.J. Rausa is a pioneer in San Diego bankruptcy law, being one of the first lawyers in San Diego County to shape interpretations of recent federal changes.
D.J. is regionally known as a lecturer on bankruptcy and foreclosure law. His arguments in several courts have influenced case law, and he has been asked to speak on bankruptcy law topics for media outlets such as San Diego business radio talk shows and groups such as consumer credit counselors and real estate professionals. D.J. also handles cases in the firm’s other areas of practice, including personal injury law.
D.J. maintains memberships in the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the California and San Diego Bankruptcy Forums and the San Diego County Bar Association – Bankruptcy Law Section. He also served as a panel mediator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of California.
D.J., a veteran of the US Navy, is an avid cyclist, and he spends much of his free time as a coach for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program, which raises funds for blood cancer research, education and patient services.

Attorney Josh Mason
Josh Mason’s main area of practice is family law, but he also handles step-parent adoptions, bankruptcy and personal injury matters as well. Josh began working in family law while attending law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. After working for two prestigious family law firms in San Diego, Josh felt it was time to open his own firm in July of 2006. By helping to form The Law Offices of Rausa & Mason, he combines his family law expertise with the firm’s other areas of practice.
Beginning as a law clerk in family law and remaining in the field as an attorney, Josh has seen a divorce case evolve from the initial pleadings to the final trial, and has prepared all of the work in-between. The birth of Josh’s son has placed the custody and visitation issues of his clients in a much different light.
Josh was born and raised in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, just outside of Eugene. In college in Oregon, his life consisted of classes during the day, coaching baseball in the afternoons and making and delivering pizza in the evenings. Today he dedicates his days to helping his clients fight for their rights and spends the evenings with his wife and young son.

Certified Paralegal Krystle Benson
Krystle Benson graduated cum laude from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in management before enrolling in the University of San Diego's Paralegal Certificate program. She uses her management skills and paralegal training to expedite your cases and help collect and process the information necessary to address your concerns.
Outside of work, Krystle cycles and regularly enters regional running events, including the 2009 San Diego Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon. Recently married, Krystle spends her free time with her husband, Vinnie, and their two-year-old Pomeranian, Rocco.
